Enamored by the custom metalwork the studio had completed for the Gjelina group, Angela Scott knew we could find a special way to showcase her shoes at the brand’s new Melrose Avenue location. Inspired by brass shelving seen in the bars, restaurants, and boulangeries of Paris, this modular system can be infinitely reconfigured, or even moved from store to store. The design started by utilizing standardized brass components, then a custom bracket was created to underpin the shelving made from hardware that was hand-designed and finished to reflect the detailing of the shoes themselves.
