This three-story space was Gjelina Group’s first move to the East Coast. By designing an atrium from steel and glass block, we were able to connect all three floors while bringing light into the rear of the space. A show kitchen sits below the atrium stairs, featuring a full hotline for production cooking, along with Gjelina’s wood-fired offerings being prepared in the large Italian pizza oven. A new storefront and second floor windows were fashioned to fit into the existing façade, which harken back to the DNA of the original Gjelina on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, California.
