By far the most minimal design of any of the Cha Cha Matcha locations, we envisioned a plywood box that you could inhabit, with detailing that elevates the space. The midcentury-inspired slat ceiling and integrated lighting creates a rhythmic perspective which calls you to the dark green ceramic of the rear wall where the matcha is produced. These two details lure the eye in, creating a minimal yet inviting setting for customers. An 8’ long communal table creates a natural pattern for flow of traffic around its perimeter, with stacked plywood and custom pink Corian stools tucked underneath.
