Located at the Empire Stores Development within the historic 55 Water Street Building, this space showcases heavy timber construction, riveted steel gussets, and iconic arched openings within the building façade. The juxtaposition of this historic framework and the brand’s bright, colorful, poppy motifs created an exciting design challenge. The heavy timber columns were wrapped in slatted sleeves and painted the in brand’s signature emerald green color, allowing Cha Cha Matcha’s personality to exist in this historic context. A green upholstered banquette sits along the bifold windows in the façade.
